CF Montréal announced Monday it has traded Brazilian defender Ruan to FC Dallas for up to US$150,000 in general allocation money (GAM).
Under the terms of the deal, Montreal receives $50,000 in 2024 GAM, but could receive up to $100,000 in 2025 GAM “if certain performance-based conditions are met.”
Ruan, 29, has played in 25 matches for Montreal this season, starting 24 of them, and has two goals and six assists in 2,006 minutes of play. He was acquired Dec. 12, 2023, from D.C. United.
The U.S. summer transfer window continues through Wednesday.
